new low

it's about 70 degrees out today and the sun is shining. after 4 days of living in hazy, cold and heavy gloom, this showing of sun could not be more welcomed. i spent my lunch break today absorbing as much sunshine as i could in the park. here's to a good long run this evening.

also, middle class rut has a song "new low" that has been making the rounds on the radio lately, and i love it. the video happens to be captivating.

a lovely bag of mallow pumpkins were waiting on my desk for me when i got in yesterday. did you know they're made with real honey? i didn't...

apparently i was dreaming when the current temperature was announced this morning because i was utterly shocked when i left the apartment with only a flannel shirt for warmth. there was ice still on my car. happy first frost! (thank god the day time temps are still in the sixties)

pleasant shock though? hearing new mcr on the radio!

storms rolling in

few weeks ago this little storm rolled into nyc. it was pretty violent and did some real damage to brooklyn and parts of queens. was out on the water for it though, and snapped a few pictures of the storm coming in around lower manhattan: 

not gonna lie, it was pretty awesome to watch. who doesn't love massive amounts of thunder and lightning?!
